Today marks another public holiday..oops, I meant another historical day. 3 days of no work is as good as everyday with loads of pork. Lol.

Then I spotted a very creative 1 Malaysia ad using a strand of French Fry & it's packaging with a big "M" that actually represents the fries company called McD!!!

Fit Saturday

Today is the day I start to get fit again. Just went to gym to do some card & arm weights. I wonder where to keep fit in Seoul. It will be darn cold there. I need all the fats to burn as the cold weather seems to be heading towards negative temperature. I'm hungry now. What to eat for lunch in Empire Shopping Gallery?

Eating from Petaling Street - Semenyih - Putrajaya - MidValley - Jinjang - Bangsar

This is my first post on FOOD and TRAVEL! So pls enjoy yourself.
The stars of my blog post are my family and my relative from Singapore.

PETALING STREET -It has been a long history on this street. Many tourists visits this street as part of their travel agenda. The govt has recognised that and decided to put a roof for the busy street with people. If you love branded goods but seem to be stingy (kedekut or Mr. Scrooge), you can get all the fake versions here in Petaling Street. It is not encourage as these are the markets that spoils a brand's reputation. On the bright side, once your brand has imitations, it means you are a HUGE brand! They have good from bags, watches, clothes, wallets, shoes and more. Brands from Gucci, Coach, Burberry, Louis Vuitton, Nike, Adidas and much much more. The street also has FOOD!

PETALING STREET (Rest Yook Woo Hin) - As you can see, not much photos on the food in this restaurant as I came late :(. However, I heard that the dim sum is quite good from my family. I only had the kuay teow soup which as a good starter for my Food Trip that day.
PETALING STREET - You see them pushing the blue cart? That is how they move their goods to their stores. The red wooden slippers are a real classic. Only RM5 i guess or maybe lesser. Souvenirs on Kuala Lumpur can also be bought here.

PETALING STREET - Before we continue our "Makan Trip", we visited one of Kuala Lumpur's OLDEST WET MARKET, "Penjaja Gallery Jalan Tun H.S. Lee". Even a wet market is a gallery so gotta take some photos to justify the name :p. Pls take note that the photos are not for the fainted heart. There are lots of meat like PORK, CHICKEN and FISHES on sale. Makes me wonder if there will be an eBay page selling PORK, CHICKEN and FISHES???? Can't forget the greens aka vegetables. If you see on the top right, there are people pushing their carts out from the market to their stores. Guess what branded goods are those? GUCCI...haha. Now do you dare to buy from Petaling Street? Your bags actually lives among the PORK, CHICKEN and FISHES. I do condemn COPYCATS!

PETALING STREET (Air Mata Kuching) - Famous & sweet! Air Mata Kuching drink served in a Zoo cup..wth right? They had to use a Zoo cup for more awareness I guess. The drink cost a mere RM1-RM1.50. Worth a drink on a HOT day.
PETALING STREET (Chee Cheong Fun) - I couldn't find the name of this store. Anyhows, it is still on Petaling Street. Just RM4, you get a plate of handmade Chee Cheong Fun. The famous gravy is just soya sauce. It is that simple. If you still prefer the normal gravy, the sweet black sauce is also available.

PETALING STREET (Koon Kee Wan Tan Mee and Rice) - Do you like Char Siew (Sweet Roasted Fatty Pork) that melts in your mouth? Do you like Wan Tan Noodles that feels bouncy while eating them? Do you want all those to come cheap and authentic? If you answer all yes, come to this shop. The price is only around RM3-RM5 for a plate of Wan Tan Mee with Char Siew. You can also get the classic Ban Chang Ker outside the shop.

PETALING STREET (Biscuit corner) - There are plenty of biscuits, cookies, paus and breads here. So many variety till I did not highlight any except the one in the Red plastic Net biscuit. I can't remember what is that but it reminded me of my childhood! Those were the days....sigh...well, gotta move on!

PUTRAJAYA (Pink Mosque) - This is one of Malaysia's many mosque. The significant thing about this mosque is it is PINK in colour. Haha. It is also the detailed architectural design which makes this mosque a tourist spot in Malaysia. Entrance is free BUT tourist have to ensure they are properly dressed. Males have to wear long pants and a shirt/T-shirt to cover leg skin. For females, long dress to cover their legs too and ensure there are not cleavage for people to see in the mosque. Female also have to use a scarf to cover their head as a sign of respect to the religion of Islam.
As you can see, I am wearing shorts, so I didn't manage to enter the mosque. I hanged outside the mosque only. They have a food court there too, surprisingly!

Without wasting more time, we head for lunch at Semenyih.

SEMENYIH (Restaurant 52) -It is located in the kampung areas but GOOD food they have. Our lunch for 6 people only cost RM130. We had the Tai Thau Har (Big Ass Prawn Noodles). The prawn was cooked to perfection served in kuay teow and a delicious egg gravy. Next is the Guinness Pork Ribs. Yes, you have predicted well, the main ingredient is Guinness Stout Beer! The pork ribs were tender with the taste of sweetness with a little alcohol called Guinness Stout. Yummy!!!! As chinese, we had a Taufu Mix with carrot, cabbages, other small vegetables and some pork meat. All meals need some greens injected into our system so we ordered a Steamed Lettuce. Lastly, we had a Steamed White Meat Fish. I can't recall the fish type but the cooking style is unforgettable. The fish was steamed NOT with water but WITH OIL. It made the skin crispy while maintaining the soft juicy meat of the fish.

Next was desserts nearby.

SEMENYIH (Roadside dessert) -After a great meal, we needed to sweeten down the food. This roadside shop was perfect. We had Cendol, Ais Kacang and Fresh Coconut. As great eaters, we had to order the Carrot Cake there. It is cooked with bean sprout on a very small grill plate. The chef likes it small and simple I guess. All these for only RM15 or less.

MIDVALLEY, KL (Gardens Hotel and Residences) - We head back to where my Singapore relatives were staying. I highly recommend Gardens Residences if you plan to have a house party. For only RM900, you get a masterbed room, a big bathroom, a kitchen, a living room and a balcony. Big enough to fit at least 10-15 people for a party to get together. Plus, you can always go shopping downstairs at Gardens Mall or MidValley Mall.

JINJANG (Hokkien Mee house-shop) - I again apologise for not disclosing the outlet location. Will do that when I get me iPhone 4! This shop was opened by my Grandfather's close friend. It is now run by the son. Everything here is cooked with a char-coaled stove. We started with the Hokkien Mee. Thick noodles cooked in a Hokkien style. Next, we had Hokkien Mihun and Flour Noodles. Same style of black sauce. Then, we had the Loh Mee. Just add some vinegar and it taste like heaven! This shop also specialised on their recipe of Fried Chicken Wings. Fried till it turns golden. While blogging this, I am already starving!

BANGSAR (Papa Rich Cafe) - We had to end the day by eating. Papa Rich was the choice for me as it was a place to hang out and chill. Mainly to relax all our stomach after a full day of MAKAN. This is the Eating crew of the day!

I hope to do this again. To my relative from Singapore, "Do come down again to experience another food travel journey".

eBay - gateway to a second career?

I have been fascinated with selling things online but I always procrastinate. But now, I will mean what I say. First, I will sell my junks....next will be other items la...keke...watch out for links to my junks...& other items....on eBay.com.my

I only have 20 slots for selling. So little unless I open store in eBay which will cost me a little. Hmmmm....maybe will go for Lelong.com.my or even mudah.com.my or mysimplified.com? So many site I also dunno how to choose.......

Normal tyres becoming F1 type has now normalise

Every wonder how to owe some F1 parts in your car without modifying any parts?

I have. Try driving your car everyday & fully utilise the car. Even when your tyres have ran out of grip or the flowers as some might call it, just drive but pls becareful when it rains. Go slower.

Yes, its the tyres. Mine was so used until it was unrecgnisable to be a normal tyre. It really looks like the F1 tyres with minimal flowers. I was not planning to change it till end of Sept as I thought it still can be used.

Well, i was wrong. Don't worry, my car & I are still safe.

My dad woke me up on Saturday & ask me a weird question, "Hey, wake up!! Let me ask u something. Is handphone more important or life?"
I was like....freaking blur & stunned as I just woke up. I ask him what is it about. He freaked out regarding my tyres. He said it was very surprising that I was still driving with it. It is so thin till anything can happen. I was scared too after he said that. Eventually I quickly get out of bed to head to the nearest Tyre shop nearby my house called, Hie Tyre & Auto Services. My brother changed his car tyres here so I assume they are trustworthy.

I have moved on from Falken to Yokohama. I hope it can last for more than a 1 year which my Falken couldn't. Total of RM780 was spent for 4 tyres. Expensive day.........till the next tyre change, I want my F1 moment...!

New Phone on the way??????????

I have been using Nokia E71 for more than 1 year 6 months. It is time to become more advance & have multi applications. I have been refraining from getting the iPhone 3GS as I heard last year that a new model will be launch....& it really has launch but not in M'sia yet. I can't wait anymore!!! I'm getting it from S'pore Apple Store!!! 3 weeks shipment...walau, making me damn anxious as I just swiped S$888 on my credit card after clearing RM1,500 just 3 hours ago.......I will then be online 24 hours.....blogging will never be the same again...meaning, I will blog damn a lot!!!

At the place where I work, it stinks of the King of Fruits & the wetness of the juices of the hairy red Rambutans. Great day to gather with all colleagues while everyone munch on the yellow meaty fruit called durian. D24s semua...I hope no one farted after this gathering.....

Eventhough I was not in KL, I did take this magnificient photo of KLCC at night with the clouds within the building.

Today is a very FIT day as I was at futsal playing my ass off for 2 hours. Then came home for the home cook meal of the week. I had Sambal Petai, Baby Kai Lan with mushrooms, Fried Tilapia, Ladies Fingers & rice. Accompanied with Fresh Orange & tea to finish off the meal...yummy.....next time I will take photo of my home cook meal...

I have been telling myself to update my blog for almost a MILLION times. Finally today, I took a step closer to become a part-time blogger. I deleted all my previous post AGAIN. This time, I will regain my viewer ship & readership again.

What is worth talking today: My guess is on my favorite sport --> Futsal aka small field Football

Instead of 22 men chasing ONE ball, i have reduced it to just 10 men chasing ONE ball. So it won't look so pathetic as I have NO skills. I only can score DAMN A LOT of GOALS. Today I will be performing @ Extreme Park from 3pm-5pm. Anyone who wants to see my showcase of useless skills are welcome to see me.

In addition to that news, I would like to announce that I will be getting an iPhone 4 to replace my Nokia E71. I do not believe the antenna issue will stop me from enjoying the phone as I have tested the antenna for my loyal Nokia E71. It is a very long lasting phone but when I grab the Nokia like how all those critics hold the iPhone & claims the reception will reduce. Yes!! It is true that if you grab it so tight, your reception will reduce...same as Nokia & other phone. Honestly, handphone users do not HUG the phone when using it. It those critics who has nothing else to do but criticise products have the time. All crap la....i still highly recommend iPhone 4. However, the price might make me disappointed...ah well, Maxis, faster launch it before I head to SEOUL in September!
